Our FS2 Program marks an important milestone in your child’s early educational journey. At Kinder Castle Nursery, we prepare children for a smooth transition into primary school by offering a well-balanced program that blends structured learning with creativity, exploration, and play. FS2 learners are curious, growing in independence, and eager to understand the world around them—and our curriculum is designed to nurture exactly that.
What We Offer:
Advanced Foundation Stage Program (FS2) Building upon the skills gained in FS1, our FS2 program introduces more structured learning in literacy, numeracy, communication, and problem-solving—ensuring children are fully prepared for Year 1.
Literacy & Phonics Development Children strengthen foundational reading and writing skills through phonics sessions, storytelling, guided reading, vocabulary building, and early sentence formation activities.
Numeracy & Logical Thinking We help children develop strong mathematical understanding through hands-on activities involving addition, subtraction, shapes, measurements, patterns, and early reasoning tasks.
Social & Emotional Development FS2 children learn cooperation, responsibility, empathy, and confidence. They gain essential classroom habits such as taking turns, following routines, and working in groups—key for primary school readiness.
Creative & Imaginative Exploration Art, music, drama, and role-play activities inspire children to express themselves creatively, enhancing imagination, self-expression, and emotional development.
Science, Discovery & Inquiry-Based Learning Children explore simple scientific concepts through experiments, observation, nature exploration, and hands-on learning—encouraging curiosity and early analytical thinking.
Physical Development & Coordination Through intentional indoor and outdoor play, children strengthen both fine and gross motor skills, developing better control, balance, agility, and hand-eye coordination.
Communication, Confidence & Presentation Skills Group discussions, show-and-tell, storytelling, and presentation opportunities help children articulate thoughts clearly and build strong verbal communication skills.
Strong School-Readiness Focus Our FS2 learners practice independence, responsibility, organization, and early academic routines to ensure they are fully prepared and excited for the transition to Year 1.
Ongoing Parent Communication & Support Parents receive day-to-day updates, progress assessments, and insights into their child’s learning, ensuring a collaborative partnership for growth.
